Successful farming starts with a healthy herd. Our Health Module monitors the well-being of your herd 24/7. Is a cow not eating, not ruminating, or having a change in behavior? You will get alerted immediately, so you can intervene proactively. The module helps you pick up on diseases like displaced abomasum, mastitis, ketosis, and E. coli in an early stage.
Your cow’s ears are full of vital information which tells you how they’re doing. Our ear sensors monitor your cows’ rumination, eating, inactivity, activity, ear temperature and high active behavior. Does a cow have an ear temperature 7°C lower than the herd average, and is there an alert of illness? You’re the first to know.
Cow Health Made Clear
Monitoring cow health with the Health Module is very straight-forward. The system actively alerts you whenever a cow’s behavior changes compared to before, considering their temperature compared to the herd average, as well as group changes that might cause stress. The alerts notify you of different stages of a cow’s health.
A yellow ‘Suspicious’ alert pops up when there’s decreased activity, or moderately impaired eating and rumination time. An orange ‘Sick’ alert indicates a cow is much less active, with greatly reduced eating and rumination time. A red ‘Very Sick’ alert means that the cow’s activity, eating and rumination time have seriously reduced. There’s also a black ‘No Movement’ alert. This indicates no movement was detected in the sensor. This could mean the sensor is no longer attached to the cow, or that the cow hasn’t been moving at all.
Improve Herd Performance
All cow health care data is always at your fingertips. Just open your laptop or get your smartphone out. Our system shows you the ear temperature of the specific cow compared to the average of the total herd. And if a cow’s already sick, you can monitor her recovery in detail. The Health Module graphs show users the rumination, eating, resting (not active), active and high active behavior per cow. The graph can display these behaviors either per hour or per day, allowing users to deep dive into a cow’s health and compare their behavior to previous days.
Give your veterinarian, herdsperson, and other specialists remote access to selected data via the MultiView function, so they can monitor your herd’s performance as well. That way, you can keep an eye on cow health together, and make sure every cow in the herd stays as healthy as possible or gets nursed back to health successfully.
