Who are we looking for?

CowManager is investing in the coming years to further expand its activities worldwide. As Commercial Manager you will have an opportunity to contribute to this development. As the face of our company, you are responsible for the worldwide sales results (by now we are already active in more than 30 countries). You work closely with the CEO and the Head of Dealer Management & Marketing. You set up the (international) strategic sales plan. And more importantly, you ensure that these results are achieved together with your colleagues! You have an eye for agricultural business and market developments by identifying trends and responding to them.


What are your core tasks?
  • Create a bold but realistic Sales Plan
    In cooperation with the CEO and Head of Dealer Management & Marketing you determine the positioning of CowManager and the most important topics and activities per year;
  • Leading a growing international sales team
    You manage the international sales team (currently 2 persons and growing). You guide them in their personal development and challenge and motivate them to realize their personal sales goals. In addition, you are part of our Management team CowManager;
  • Relationship management with customers
    You maintain the most important existing relationships with dealers and grow our network. You participate in international events and important conferences. You also solve (major) contract-related issues if these occur unexpectedly;
  • Sparring partner for market developments
    You consult with other departments within CowManager to streamline the sales. And you discover gaps in the market and commercial opportunities for CowManager;
  • Getting things done
    You do not only think it out, but you ensure that the results are realized. You also guarantee the process of aftersales tasks in the organization;
  • Budget responsibility
    You are responsible for the budget of your department and report monthly on the status, funnel, GAP and achieved turnover.
What are the job requirements?
  • Great affinity with the agricultural sector;
  • More than 8 years relevant experience in agricultural commercial position, of which at least 2 years in management position;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Agriculture Dairy Science
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Salesmanagement
  • Experience in an international agricultural environment;
  • Experience with sales through distribution channels;
  • Fluent Dutch and Fluent English speaking and writing skills, German is a big advantage;
  • Willingness to travel (25-30%);
  • You are result-oriented and have good financial insights;
  • You have a proven commercial track record and you are a good and pleasant negotiator;
  • Your communication skills are excellent. You can convey the knowledge of the product and the application possibilities well. And have good listening skills and empathy;
  • You motivate the team to achieve the objectives;
  • You are able to approach and analyse problems on a conceptual level and can improvise well.
